In order to register with Classroom, you can email, post or fax your CV or simply give us a call and we will direct you to the most suitable Consultant who will invite you to interview as appropriate. Alternatively you can fill out our online application form. We meet all our teachers for an in depth and two-way discussion in order to work most effectively both with you and on your behalf.

The first part of the interview will entail the completion of registration forms and can take up to 45 minutes. You will be asked to complete an application form. Also, if no Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance or overseas police check is available, you will be asked to complete a CRB check. Without this clearance you will be unable to work. The check is then valid for 3 years. Classroom will apply for a CRB on your behalf and will refund the cost of this application after you have worked 10 days for Classroom. Classroom will apply for your CRB free of charge if you have a current CRB from another source. .

Classroom operates fully within Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC) guidelines and we will ask you to provide a Curriculum Vitae (CV) with details of 2 professional referees, the original or a certified copy of your teaching qualification, photographic proof of ID (identity)and visa status (a passport), proof of address (a utility bill), a CRB clearance (or police check from those recently arrived from overseas).

NB: a suitable professional CV must be produced as schools will often base their initial response to an applicant for a longer-term position on the information it provides. Your Consultant will be happy to provide advice or assistance in this area.

When the forms have been completed and checked, your Consultant will join you to chat about your experience, tell you about Classroom and discuss your plans and expectations. Whether you are a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or an experienced teacher, UK or overseas trained, have supply taught previously or are new to London and supply teaching, your Consultant will be able to answer your questions and provide all the information and support you may require.

After your interview references will be checked and CRB clearance obtained, Classroom will keep you informed every step of the way.

We hope that the interview will be a useful experience and just the first step towards building a long and supportive partnership between you and Classroom.
